Which produces more power, or are they the same? Which is recommended?

I would go with the FM. The ATP have had problems with cracking and rubbing.

i have the atp and am very happy with it. fm looks like a very nice product too.

I've had the ATP downpipe with their hi-flo cat for five months now and never had any problems with it...their kit looks great and you could really feel the power difference in low end and hi end speeds...GO ATP OR NOTHING!

People have troubles with 3" DP, but no everyone wants to admit that he spent $$$ and DP is too big and have rattle and vibration problems. There have been complains here and there about those problems on VWVortex forums if you mind to read topics.

That is very true, as of right now, I am very upset with my dp, it is rubbing and hitting and vibrating. It sound terrible, and to top it off, today I threw a CEL, with the high flow cat, not a race pipe. BUT, this should all be fixed once I get the motor mounts, from what I have heard.

The FM dp will not rub, but you do have to put up with a slight turbulent whistling noise from the flex section. The cat also doesn't throw codes. Mine checked out on the vag-com.

Well after checking with someone, apparently I have the cat on backwards, which I told the shop who put it on to do it the other way, but they insisted that they knew what they were doing and of course gave me their resume

But I should have stuck to my guns and told them the way I wanted it put on, because the guy I bought it from definately knows what he is talking about. I just mad I second guessed him. Sorry, Shaka.

ATP all the way for me, but then again, I'm Longitudinal, so I don't have the same problems as many of you.
