In an otherwise vanilla press release about investment in the future and mention of eight new models inbound for the Audi brand, Ingolstadt has also confirmed its timeframe on several new models including A1, A7 and Q5 hybrid.

Next year Audi will launch a series of new cars. The A1, A7, A8 and R8 Spyder will be added to the product portfolio during 2010. At the end of 2010 Audi will unveil the Audi Q5 Hybrid, which will reach the market at the start of 2011 as the brand’s first full hybrid model.

Test mules of the A7 have already been spotted in and around Ingolstadt and its launch has been rumored in the press to be at this year's Moscow Auto Show in late August, which is consistent with what we've heard internally as well.

The A1 has already been confirmed for launch at Geneva and Audi has begun its official communications on the car with a German microsite and filming of a commercial in LA with Justin Timberlake from which spy photos of the car undisguised have already surfaced.

Though based on an existing model, mention of a Q5 hybrid is perhaps the most significant news in the release. We've known a hybrid of Audi's mid-sized crossover was inbound but we now have a timeframe to work with. Audi has made no secret that its hybrid technology was being developed largely for US market preferences for gasoline hybrid models so we wouldn't be surprised to see the car bow at the 2010 L.A. Auto Show given the mentioned timing of a late 2010 reveal, although this is pure speculation on our part.
Read the press release in its entirety after the jump.
