V6 ceased outside motor plan so swamped it for a Chevy LS1 5.7V8 onto the CVT Quattro Transmission...

All is well except for 1 thing...

The CVT Transmission wants to see RPM on the cluster to engage gears...

I fitted the Crank pickup and Sensor to the V8.
The problem is it jumps very erratically...

Goes in gear and out in 3 sec.

Is there anyone that can give me advise or solution?

Check the mounting of the CPS sensor pickup & reluctor . The mount should be very solid and stiff. Also, there may be a specified min/max clearance and alignment between the pickup & reluctor. If someone has an oscillocope they can check the waveform.
