Impressive.

The id.4 is only $3k less for the Pro RWD.
A PRO S AWD id.4 is the same price as the Q4 50.

5.8 Seconds to 60 in an EV has got to be a fun drive. My SQ5 (if it was stock) runs to 60 in 5.1. The Q4 50 after rebates being $39k and a SQ5 Prestige running $68k.

Who would still buy the VW over this?

The Audi is quite a bit more expensive if you factor in options and equipment.

We just got our first Q4 in at that Audi dealership I work at. 60k sticker...feels like a 30-35k car.
I felt the same way. I just happened to sit in one yesterday. I’m not impressed at all and by the looks of it the Skoda Enyaq got the best interior out of the trio. I’d just stick with the ID4.

tall suv shaped thing with all the cargo capacity and rear headroom of a CLA. nah, EU can keep those

besides bmw and mb will still sell you massively compromised ugly suv-coupes.
ID.5 has almost double the CLA's cargo space and FWIW not much less than the much more expensive EQB it actually competes with (19 vs 22 cu ft)

You dont have to like it or buy it. Of VWs EV offerings the ID.5 would be my pick.

I can't get excited about these EVs... I try so hard, just can't.

Next time I need a rental I might try and get into an EV just so to get some seat time... Maybe that's what I need to start paying attention to these more...

As of now, all roads lead back to "too expensive to justify what it is".

My mother in law traded in her 18 SEL Tiguan for a 22 fairly loaded Q3. The Q4 is on par with her 4-5 year old Tiguan quality wise. A new Q5 is IMO significantly nicer then the Q4.
My guess is they had to cut out a lot of standard Audi fit&finish/quality/etc. in order to keep the car price competitive. Best to just get a loaded ID4 at this point.
