finally got around to installing my audi tt fenderliner vent (that i bought...oh.... 4 or 5 months ago..)
put together a how-to with pictures, have fun. it's a neat mod, it's cheap, and it's easy...

what is the purpose of the vent? to cool the brakes? or is it turbo related?

the tt fenderliner was around $30. we had all of the tools needed to do the job, so it didn't cost anything except 1/2 hour of our time...

yeah, in a tt there are two intercoolers -- one on each side... and the fenderliners have these vents in them already to help move more air over the intercooler.
will i notice any difference? not likely... but i know that i've at least done something to help when it gets hot out...

nah, getting the fenderliner out was pretty easy, so we didn't remove the front wheel -- and since we did all of the 'mod' off the car, it wasn't necessary. i had originally planned to jack up the car and take off the tire, but didn't need to in the end...
