I need parts numbers that comprise of the whole TT225 6-spd transmission included the clutch pedal mechanism all the way to the clutch plate... so everything. Know where I can find what I want?
Can the TT225 6-spd tranny fit on a 2001 Jetta 1.8T?
Is this the same unit that is in the 25th Anniversay Ed. GTi???
Another thing, is the TT225's dual intercooler system compatible with the 2001 Jetta 1.8T? Just buy the driverside intercooler and the OEM piping?

Re: Audi TT225 6-spd Tranny (2001Bora)

I've already looked into doing something similarily. Your much better off buying a 6-speed tranny from the new 24V VR6 jetta. It will probably be less costly and easier to fit. HPA has these trannies already available. For about $3500 CDN

Say wa? Isn't that almost half that number in USD? Who makes the 6-spd tranny offered HPA?
HPA uses mostly VAG parts... so are we talking about the same/near same unit in the TT225 or 25th Ann. Ed. GTi?
Think they can change an auto car into a 6-spd manual car?

Shoudn't be that hard to convert an auto. Ask cosmic, he did it, and it shouldn't matter that you are putting in a 6sp instead of a 5, they are both meant to fit in that anyway. The hpa units are the 25th aniv. units (the same unit coming with the new 24v)

Yes HPA is using the same units in the 25th Aniv. GTI. I have an auto and yes it can be converted. It will cost appox. $4500 - $5000 CDN to have the conversion completely done. If you end up gettting the 6 speed it's worth it IMO!!
