Audi of America has just revealed the US-bound version of the all-new S7 five-door coupe. With nearly 450 hp on tap from a positively tiny V6.

That’s a 2.9L TFSI V6. 44 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. A whopping 109 hp and 74 lb-ft more than Audi offers up in the standard A7. Te new model gets a 48V mild-hybrid system too. Which has benefits like an electric compressor that adds boost from near zero RPM to help the turbos spin up faster. Increasing response and low-end torque.

The S7 also gets new S bumpers front and rear. Along with special 20-inch alloys wearing summer performance tires. The grille is a new double-slat version in platinum and the front splitter and side mirror caps get an aluminum look.

There’s an eight-speed automatic, and of course, Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive is standard.

Controlling those 20-inch tires is a standard air suspension. It’s adaptive for improved ride and hold holding, able to switch between comfort and dynamic. If you want more dynamic, Audi is offering an S sport pack with all-wheel steering and a different differential. Plus the all-important sport exhaust and red brake callipers.

The S7 comes well equipped. It gets Audi’s virtual cockpit, four-zone climate control, Virtual 360 camera views, and a Bang & Olufsen audio system. There’s a 10.1-inch upper screen for the MMI and an 8.6-inch lower. That replaces the old car’s rotary dial. There’s also a full suite of driver aids like adaptive cruise with traffic jam assist and Audi side assist.

The 2020 S7 is set to arrive at dealers shortly, from $83,900 for Premium Plus and $89,500 for Prestige.
