man i cant get my cd player installed cause the harness wont fit. its a 92 slc, 1 more day without a cd player is gonna kill me. has anyone else had this problem. the guy at the at the audio store said i have preamps and ill have to hardwire it but i think hes full of it because i can get the power to come ,just no sound. if somebody can help me please

Do you have the "Aktiv" system?? I did it by taking the doors apart and running the power off the head unit directly to the speaker. To do this I had to take the amps apart too and run new wires. PITA!

Make sure you power up the K-Wire and fry your computer.
Dont use harness with Blue jumper,Cut jumper in half,and only use end with pigtail to power BLACK antenna lead.Tape off other Speed Sensor wire,WHITE/BLUE.

yes, i had a hard time getting in my cd player aswell. to make it fit i zipped tied everything and just pushed and shoved it untill it clicked right in. the AKTIV system has self powered speakers. you should run new wires to your speakers (if u are not using stock speakers) thats all the info i got. good luck

you don't have to run all new wires if you have the AKTIV system...crutchfield and a few other companies sell an adapter that works called an oem-2. nice sound and you don't have to rewire half of the car...

Yeah the stock system sucks, especially when your used to 140 Db of head pounding Bass, and ear splitting Mids and Highs.

but running a wire each speaker isnt tough..... but the rear is a diff story
