Re: Auto to manual tranny (YourFace)
I recently converted my golf from an auto to manual. I have the complete list at home i get get to you later today. I was able to find a show in miami that has totaled vw where he had the whole car to take all the parts from. he charged me 500 for the trannyt and about another 450 for the rest of the parts (flywheel, clutchcables, gearbox, both axles, rear right motor mounts, shifter assmebly, motor mount bracket, in know i missin sime but thats what i can remeber off the top of my head) the guy who installed it chanrged me 500 for labor. plus i was able to sell my old auto tranny to a place in MI that rebuilds parts for 300. The only thing he did not do was cnahge engine harness, but that is for engine comp purpose (if you dont mind the ECL on) The car runs great. if you are a tru VW fan i would highly recomend. no to mention you auto tranny will die out soon, and it is chaeper to convert it. mine dies at 99k miles. if you have any other questions feel free to email me
[email protected] good luck
