ok i'm going to bring this problem to the dealer next week, along with a couple other minor problems, but heres the thing...
when i first start up my car, it starts up right away no problems, then if i depress the brake and move the shifter into reverse (automatic transmision) the car stalls right away, its happened three or four times now and it realy is annoying, and i wonder if its the start of a major problem, i can start it right up after that without a problem, the few times its happened its been at night when its really cold outside, after the car has been sitting six to eight hours while i'm at work
i was thinking that since it starts up fine but when i shift it it stalls, it may be a problem with the torque converter when it is cold, i dont exactly know how one works so i cant be too sure, but maybe oil isnt getting to it and it stalls the engine because it can't idle the car properly
my friend says it may be the a vacuum hose that is leaking, but i didnt really understand that reasoning, he just says his mom's explorer does that sometimes and his dad has to fix a leak in a hose to solve the problem, any help would be appreciated...thanks
sorry it was so long, i just wanted to explain my problem thoroughly to everyone
