Two questions for Precision.
1) I have a 1.8T - How extra for the Royal purple and is it worth it?
2) Do you have or do they make the magnetic drain plugs for this car? If so how much are they?
I'll be stoping buy either later this week or next week for an oil change.

5W40 lubromoly, Motul or AMSOIL are all better choices for your motor compare to RP.
I dont carry magnatic drain plug and there is no need for it. If you have chunk of metals in your oil then your engine needs a rebuild.

Nope. No chunks of metal in my oil. Was simply asking a question as I've seen many other suggest them. As for the choice in oil, is there any paticular reason why you would grade those three oils above RP?
I thought Royal Purple was some excellent oil?

1.8T requires specific addetives to protect the bearings. VW approved oils such as lubromoly, Penthosynth and Mutol will do a better job.
RP is a great oil but not for your application.

Had my oil changed there at PT last week and I gotta say...I don't think i've had a faster oil change from a REAL shop (not a place like the oil changers) ever!!

I'm thinkin' of poppin' by tomorrow (after I call of course)
I'm looking at doing a flush, full synthetic, new plugs and coils. (I've got a 2000 1.8T 'AWD' engine code, and my coils do not look like the ones on your site)
I also have a CEL from, what I've been told is the EGR Sensor.. hmm maybe that could get looked after too, heh.
Haven't completely made my mind up about the flush, as she has 297,000K on her..
