While browsing the used car listings today, I came across this Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.

I heard of these cars but didn't know of any coming to the U.S. It's an amazing little creature ..

Quick Specs: Top Speed 181MPH, 1/4 Mile 12.4 @ 116MPH, 444HP with 350LBS-TRQ

great car, but really overpriced. There are just far too many top tier exotics that are more appealing and less expensive.
fantastic car, my neighbor has one in the dark red and a coupe. really gorgeous in person:thumbup:

Bingo
i think it's a beautiful car, but i agree, the price is outrageous. though limited in production (from what i have read about it), it still does not warrant that sort of price. it's no italian stallion or bull. that's for sure. alfa enthusiasts, however, would beg to differ i suppose.
Should be priced around the 911 Turbo but what do I know about wanting anything exclusive.
There are 6 or 7 for sale on UK Autotrader rit now and they want £130,000 - £180,000. Beautiful car and sounds fantastic but thats an awful lot of mone for what it is....458 money
IMO, the coupe looks better. These cars sound fantastic. There was one at C&C about a year and half ago or so. It's really a sexy car, probably the best looking in recent years, at least for me. The coupe reminds me of '50s and '60s era Italian exotics, given it's nearly one-piece body. The entire rear fenders, C-pillar and roof are one piece (presumably bonded together prior to primer and paint).

It is overpriced, but it's also more about the details, looks and sound that driving performance. And while 458s and 911 Turbos are relatively speaking a dime a dozen, this is a rare car.
I saw this one at the rolex classic in monterey last year:

As I took this picture the guy floored it, and I must say it makes a SEXY noise.

Its price is kinda dumb, but I understand it I guess.

4 Problems with this one:

1. !PRICE!
2. White - Should be Alfa Red
3. Vert - Should be a coupe
4. Auto - should be manual
seen one a few times at a train station not too far from home, it was the first coupe in the country i believe.

in other news...

DEM SEATS

agreed, must appeal to die hard Alfa Romeo fans and/or people with money to piss away

super rare and highly collectable since a few cars made in to the US out of the 500 units worldwide.

tuff decision among the european scene, but certainly very performance inspired
Almost worth the $

$300K? :screwy:

I'd rather have a 458 Italia. Or a 2011 911 Turbo S as my weekend car and a 2011 Cayenne Turbo S as my DD.
car is the sexiest.
I have nothing to add, but this photo...

actually brand new i remember the price tag being in the area of $340-350K range

i would like to think people buying these cars arent concerned about price, and prob have 'other' exotics in their garages as well

id agree though that a manual trans would be something i prefer to have in one of these too-
They did come here, I think they were sold at Ferrari dealers.

I've seen 2 of them here in LA.
