Try a search. 2000 had the AWD, early in 2001 models they switched to AWW (roughly).

Sorry everyone, Im sure this has been talked about before, but I just heard about this, How much difference is there between the aww and the awd engine???? how does this work, and what year Gti's came with the awd?? which I hear a bit more powerful????????
