Ok here's the deal.I have a 16 valve 020 2y trans in my Jetta.Bought the tranny and motor with the axles.Today I bought a new axle from Autozone for a 90 GLI and it was an inch too short and it wouldn't fit into the flange on the tranny.I took it back and all of their 16v axles are the same.So I got my core back and at the end of my axle it deep in a bit to fit into the tranny flange.I have the part number if someone could tell me which one I neeed to buy.C15310 01 990 10 LOBRO 33-91 Germany. Please help, my damn car is sitting on jack stands.TIA! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: Axle part#? (The_Hamster)

Yes my old cv axle had a groove that went smaller for it to fit into the flange on the tranny. The new one did not have one so it wouldn't fit into the flange.
