1-3-4-2 going counter clockwise around the distributor. Take the top cover of the timing belt off, put the car in 4th gear. Push car carefully until you see the timing mark on the on the top timing gear points straight up at the arrow when viewed from the right side of the car. Also look into the timing hole in the tranny for the TDC mark. Now take off the distributor cap, the rotor will be pointing at the #1 cylinder. Remember, the distributor on this engine rotates counter clockwise so the wire to #3 will be to the left of #1 and so on. Hope that helps.
