Looking into taking our (then) 3 month old to a college football game and wanted to know what you guys thought about hearing protection for little ones. My wife and I have seen plenty of small children at games before at wanted to have the hearing protection just in case it got a little loud. What do you recommend?

Looking at something like this:

I, personally, wouldn't take a 3-4 month old to a college football game and all that entails. I see know advantage to you, your wife or the baby. If grandparents are available, I would use them.. and if you're first time parents and reluctant to leave the little one with anyone this will be good practice:p

All of our family is in the NW so we really don't have that option. As for the talk about not bringing kids to games, people do it all the time. It's not like we are sitting in the student section or something.

those earmuff's will work great and your kid will either pass out, or have a great time.

don't be afraid to have a good time with your kid.

I knew an alum when I was in college that brought his son to a ton of hockey games. He used ear muffs like in the first link you gave, sat in the student section with the pep band, and the little guy always had a great time.
