Back up camera issues?

My 2022 golf R has been having weird issues with the back up camera. Randomly as i back up, the camera gets blacked out and comes back on again. its random and will flicker.
Anyone else having this issue?

ALSO whats the best engine oil that I should use?

Yes I have the same problem with my R it happens very sporadically and it flickers to Black. When I brought it to the dealer they couldn't find anything wrong of course. They told me it may be part of the problem with the module for the head unit.

What oil are we running?

Hello All, My father is an AMS oil rep so I asked him to order some oil for my R this morning, but they didn’t have this particular model in his system. The manual says 0W-30. 0W-20 seems more realistic, right?

I had a recurring error with my camera; dealer replaced the entire module under warranty.

So far, 100% better and haven't had any issues of the warning light, a flickering cam or the parking sensors shutting down.

I have gotten the bug where no audio comes out of the infotainment a couple times but not since September which I think is a separate issue, so stay tuned for that.

It's odd I see infotainment and camera issues being posted on the same and only days I see the exact same issue with my car.

I had the same camera issue happen yesterday for the first time ever. Once I turned off my car and restarted it in the driveway, the issue went away and hasn't occurred today. Just feels like there have been camera, infotainment, and sensor issues experienced by all on the same day. It's a bit ominous, almost like updates are being pushed out to our cars, but I don't think VW pushes out updates to our cars.

Update: I had my golf r taken in for a engine light showing up and they told me they don’t change out the whole module for the camera. It’s just some type of software update. Anyway. I hope it works.

I'm sure there are issues that can be fixed with the software, but if the software is addressed and the issue keeps happening (and stuff like electrical shorts are ruled out), they're supposed to replace the entire camera module. It's an $800 part and took about 6-7 hours, so I'm sure it's not a repair they're anxious to make.
