Welp, bad luck strikes me again. I recieved a call at about 1:45pm today from building security telling me my car was broken into. I grabbed my keys and ran out of the office to the garage. I didnt see any broken windows so that was a relief, the idiot thief broke the door lock and then pulled out the part where u put the key in on the steering column... idiot. Anyways, security said they were pulling up as he was in it and he got in his DURANGO and took off...

so just had to vent, if anyone in Teaneck NJ see's a random white dude in a durango checkin out your dub, be careful

I work right in the building attached to the marriot, so it was in that garage. Teaneck definitley has some shady parts, but I didnt think it would happen at the garage at work.

Guess I need to find a different place to park.

Don't know if the door will cost more to fix than a window.. but hopefully with some insurance $$$ you can get those lock protectors that supposedly make it harder to exploit our weak door locks!

Security said they got the plate number, but the first number they werent too sure of so the police are going to try and figure it out.
I guess I need one of those 'Step away from the vehicle' kind of alarms... sheesh, like we own ferrari's or something. My car was actually broken into last summer and most of my stereo equipment was stolen, so Im actually glad that a door lock and the ignition were the only things affected.

So wait, he tampered with the ignition switch? Must have been a real amatuer - can't you not hotwire our cars? You'd need the actual key, right? (or an expensive to make and obtain copy)...
btw, sorry that happened - that sucks. try to have a good weekend anyway...

I say shave the handles. That would be some badass combo. Oettinger/Shaved definatly original. Definite wallpaper. Well your car is already on my wallpaper but still.

Sorry to hear about the car... I say you go with steez's alarm and put a sticker that says "this car armed with crazy vwvortexer with glock!"

damn. you talking about the glenpointe? yea i wouldn't expect it to happen in a garage at work especially. but then again, cars get stolen out of my parking lot at work

it's things like this that kind of prevent me from modding my car (rims, bodykit, etc) cuz it just attracts more attention and I DO go to the city often .
do you have an upgraded alarm? shock sensor? i think i'm going to invest in a nice alarm before hooking my car up. not that it matters, if they want it, they'll take it no matter what, but it will give me more piece of mind.
