My check engine light comes on and off, so I brought my Passat into the delearship. They said that the barometric pressure switch needs to be changed and will cost around $450 (my warrenty just expired). Anyone know anything about this switch?
They are prob talking about the MAP sensor thats located in the top of the intercooler . If your handy im sure you could change this your self . Check the many vw parts places online for a good price , i would think it cant be more than '$ 100 bucks at best , but prob a lot less and sure alot less that the $ 450 they want to bend you over for
