Just saw the ad on Autotrader.ca '95 Golf no price listed...sick car I'm sure he's asking alot of money for it though; But its simply stunning in person.

i spoke to billy, cuz he was going to sell it to my buddy before he put it in the auto trader, he wants $35k.
i'd buy it in a second if i was in the market for a car in that price range.
someone in ontario or at least north or the border buy it, don't let it go down to the states so some yank can take credit for it.

Yeah, I have that mag, it''s a couple of years old. I can't remember which one it is though. I just finished reading the article last week.

The car made the cover for Max Power. It's quite a piece of work, actually. The molded fiberglass fenders look amazingly good, and the interior is very professionally done. Unfortunately, it doesn't have much in terms of engine work, but I'm sure that can be changed.
35k CAD is a lot of money, though I know he spent a lot of money on it (just the parts alone cost more than 20k, if I remember correctly.)

its appraised at 65K, and the paint job is a $10k option from porsche when someone bought a 911. the color is maritime blue.
i think its well worth the money IMO

appraised at $65000 come on its a VW not a porsche

, maybe appraised at 30-35 if it had massive engine mods to back up the body stuff.

you have to see it to believe it. I saw this car since inception so I know that a ton of money was put into it and nothing was sacrificed.

it's not like ANYTHING on that car was bought at retail prices. this is a shop/demo car for them. I'm sure that most of it was a tax write off anyways.

Actually when he built this car he did not own BBR at the time and he did pay retail like you and me.

Finally a sane voice. Guys you all have to realize that when you mod a car you never get the money you put into it, and if you do you can compare it to winning the lottery. Cars like these are an individual expression of the owners taste and are built to what the owner likes. Plus it doesn't matter what he spent on the car, it's only worth what someone wants to pay for it.
And as awesome as the car is it's not worh what he's asking. There was a similar car for sale last year (ABT widebody as well) but WITH the 3.0 Cup VR6, and the guy was asking $30k CDN.

That is so true marek. I agree with you there. It really is up to the individual who see's this car as being what it is. All I can say is that this is a show car and should be trailered to shows only imo. This car should not be a daily driver is what I'm trying to say.

FYI that Ginster 3.0l Widebody was for sale and I believe it sold for around 25,000cdn and the engine was fvcked up, thats why it was for sale after it was built.
