mainly because i am looking into them being an auto-x wheel

They're pretty light, but no lighter than teardrops IIRC.

They should hold up OK. They ar light enough for auto x, but the only thing I am warning about is that they are a very soft rim compared to stock or other aftermarket rims

Unless you autocross over potholes and speedbumps, you'll be fine. I raced on mine for 2 years without any problem...but then again, they were my daily driver wheels too.
