First start of engine swap, turned key off, seconds later.... BOOM. Luckily I was inside the car.

I’ve heard of the intake manifold coming apart. After selling close to a dozen on eBay I asked a buyer what happened and his separated on the bottom
Of the plenum but not like yours. His came apart at the seam. I even came across a manifold that came apart at the seam in the junkyard. I didn’t notice until I lifted it out.

Would have been a great time to change to a 2 piece manifold. Makes life easier on a number of things. That said I like the silver one.
