I put a quick coat of Zymol wax on my new 2002 Jetta GLS...but I've already noticed that something has "burned" the paint. I got it off as soon as I noticed it, but the damage was done. Cleaned it off and put more wax on it.
My question is, what kind of wax will best protect against bird droppings, tree sap, etc. I've checked out "Griot's Garage" catalog, but need some advice from the folks on Vortex.
Thanks!

Re: Best exterior car wax (RISC601)

Best to post in the the detailing forum.
I bought Blitz One Grand, based on comments in that forum, and I think it's great.
A wax is a wax. If something "burned" the finish, I think it may have no trouble going through any wax.

Edit. I see you're new here. Welcome! The Detailing forum can be found under the Technical forums.

Re: Best exterior car wax (vw_golf)

I'm thinking Zaino is PROBABLY the best for bird droppings etc.
I say this because it is polymer based and *slicker* than carnauba based waxes. but I dont actually know, and dont care to do any tests with bird poo and sap on any car I own

I can say that everything else just slides right off zaino (water spots included)
