I am looking at the basslink or the mtx or bazooka, I heard u cna wire it right up to the amp in the trunk, which works best and is easiest. Is there anyone with instructions to install it to the monsoon amp?

Go to:
http://www.infinitysystems.com/caraudio/product.asp?ProdId='BASSLINK'&Ser=BSL&Cat=SUB
and download the PDF. The installation is pretty cool. Mounting the sucker isn't, as you
have to drill holes somewhere. But what the hey. I'm thinking of putting one in the
right corner of my Jetta's trunk, down flat.
Later,
Jud.
PS The cheapest place to buy one new is Zeb Audio or Ebay. The former sells
'em for about $250. The latter, well, you might get lucky and shave a few
dollars from that also.

I have 2 JL Audio 10w0 with an Orion 300W amp, jsut had to splice into the speaker output of the monsoon amp to get the signal, easy as pie.

I have the Infinity BassLink in my GTI. It's a great sub and takes up very little space. I mouted it vertically and instead of bolting it to the floor of mounting to a board I got some stick on heavy duty Velcro and put the hook side of the Velcro to bottoms of the feet. Now the tiny hooks grab on to the carpet and I can still move it around if needed when hauling groceries etc. Hope this helps good luck

Re: Best Sounding & Easiest Sub to Install to Monsoon SYstem ? (GTI Geek)

GTIgeek: nice solution, esp. for those of us who keep lots of stuff in the trunk normally,
and then need to fit in the occasional gee-tar!
BTW - what did you do for power? Run an 8-gauge from the battery?
Thanks,
Jud.

Yes, the wire goes behind the left rear speaker, under the door sill carpet, under the dead pedal, up to grommet in fire wall, down under air box, below battery, then up to terminal. InLine fuse is in the battery box.
