Re: best ways to gain low end power on a 1.8t (axlekiller)

honestly for more power in the lower range you need to get that turbo spoolin sooner, get urself a downpipe and chip. should be straight. stick with ur stock air box: drill a few 1.2inch holes and put a drop in k&n.
N20 won't come into effect till about 3500rpm

Re: best ways to gain low end power on a 1.8t (vroom pshh)

I found N75 RACE gave an small improvement from 2800 rpm over stock but I don't know if 2800 is any "low end".
Fot the chip, I don't think APR, REVO so far as I tried give any "low end" torque, from the curve I even saw them weaker than stock before 2500. Have you tried the 'superchips', the British chip is not as beefy as those often mentioned in this forum but I think it may meet what you need, with a superchip you gain over stock from 1000 rpm. here is a link of the Superchips 1.8t 150 hp power curve http://www.superchips.co.uk/curves/vag18t.pdf
Personnally I still prefer APR, for smoother and linear feel.
Thirdly I also tried the Sprint Booster from a german tuner called AMB-TUNING, you can google it out. It's a piece of adaptor you can put between your E-GAS plug, it says to eliminates all the e-gas delays (most German car have) I found it even more a throttle signal amplifier, can be quicker than the older version's wired-gas. Found it no e-gas delay, quicker reach higher rpm, and more throttle opening in the same rpm. But it doesn't increase power, won't make you any good in 0-400, but helped me out too much in the urban traffic, beat a lot of crazy taxies. So addictive to it until I got my APR TIP, it also gave pretty good throttle response and little low-mid rpm torque, so I gave this little fun thing to my friend's girl's Polo, that little VW has even worse e-gas response.

Stop posting nonsense in here. You can use nitrous before the turbo spools. They were just poking fun at the idea of off idle nitrous. Tons of guys use nitrous in the low RPM range (before the turbo spools) to aid in turbo spool. If you want this in technical terms because you're an idiot:
Spraying low end, with say, a GT3076 or GT35R will produce more exhaust gas at low RPMs. More hot air will go through the turbo exhaust housing, and spin the turbine, therefore the turbo will spool quicker.

I never said stock motor, did I? I was merely pointing out that you can spray before a turbo spools, not to go out and do it on a stock block, and most certainly not with a K03S.

NO but if you read the OP's signature he has a stock motor.... and if you read my post you'll see "..I was told.." so I'm not the idiot and I don't appreciate being called one. If you know better, please by all means feel free to post what you know in the nitrous thread; that's what it was created for. I'm a quick learner, but if I'm given bogus info it makes it hard for me to not be an 'idiot' http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
ps- I don't mean to offend you, but not everyone is an eip employee and is surrounded by geniuses.

What do u mean N20 wont come into effect until 3500 RPMs, u have a lot of learning to do about N20 if u wanna put it on ur car
