Well what do you get for joining the chamber of C in erie? The invitation to run the carshow for the town festival on May 18th!!! A vw plus style A&W event will be whipped up by me and the press is huge for the blues festival day, 92.5 on, remax, with free press for us and the show is DOWNTOWN ERIE on closed streets for the whole day!!
Thankfully an op for me to run a show for us all with less trouble and a new venue. This will be a good one!
Will be adding to the events section soon, BTW the events now lists auto-x, rallycross, real rally, real roadracing and over 85 things to do for 02 so far.

But Lance, make sure that we can have it someplace where if it rains we can sink up to our axles in mud like a certain OTHER place in Erie!

Was it WaterFest last year that got totally rained on all day? I still remember people saying they had a lot of fun though.

If you've been to a BEST show before.....You know how bad it can rain!!!!
Hence all the mud jokes,haha you could even loose your front bumper in the weeds and take a few home dragging on the bottom. 99 was weather shocker!

2000 was good, 01 sat out...., 02 should be super! Erie has lots of cool shops and a restored downtown, three full city blocks for parking in the middle of the festival and it starts less than one block from the new store! Don't let the town down! Flyers are in the works right now. Will post them when we're done.
FYI : I like to run events for the FUN ! not cause I love the attention. Just as you having a big load of vw's to droll over is the name of the game. I do it cause it is a way to contibute(big word) back to the community......GET IT?

The VWEC.org VW on the green show Should be the sunday following Erie's fair. Making it a two event weekend! We'll be in Roswell for the v3 show this year. If you do come up find me so we have more to do when we head south.

that was VW on the Green @ Arapahoe Community College. I was only there till about 1pm or so... my friends got rained out.
Lance - will you be getting use of a dyno? I was gonna dyno my car sometime this month to put my nitrous to the dyno test.

Actually, I was referring to the show on the East Coast. Vortex covered it and it sounded like it just rained the entire day. I'll look around for some pix.

Dave - were u gonna leave work @ lunch for lunch .. or was that it for the day? I got some plans with my g/f tonight (doh forgot till the last day it was Valentines day today

) so if u wanna meet up @ lunch time or so i can do that. Ill be presenting @ Mike Naughton Ford on Havana, and it would only take me 20 mins to get to Ralph. Lemme know if that works for ya.

Even though I live right next to it - when is the Roswell show this year? If it is before July 1 I can definately make it and if any of you are down this way my house is always open...

What was I thinking? Someone doesn't want to see the largest NB in the USA cause they drive a Jetta?
