Black Rims...I don't get it?

Black Rims...I don't get it? I see people getting rims and PAINTING them black and posting pics...but WE CAN'T SEE A DAMN THING! Black rims don't show up properly in pics people. In my opinion they hide the true beauty of a wheel. But to show a wheels true lines, design cues, etc...the wheels have to have a lighter finish. The darkest one should go is anthracite or gun metal...not black.
What's your take?

So your saying we should not get black wheels or paint our wheels black becasue they don't photo well but look good in person??? How does that make sense? I look at my car in person not photos of it on the internet.
And I havent' seen a bad photo of black wheels on here either.

i love black wheels, but that's just me.
so what if certain wheels in black don't photograph well? they always look good in person. when i was set on getting a black gti, i was gonna get gunmetal wheels. now that i decided and bought a silverstone one, i'm getting black wheels. they just look good.

My wheels automatically turn black....no paint necessary. Then about 6 months later when I finally get around to washing it, they magically return to their metallic glory and the process repeats.

when i first got into cars, i too disliked black wheels for the longest time, but they grew on me. its a style that you have to get used to, dont worry man, you'll come around. personally, i wouldnt buy them for my car because it depicts japanese stlying and i am going for a different look, but i do like seeing them on other people's cars http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I personally like gunmetal wheels. A lot of the rims out there now are too bling bling for me, just not my style.
But most of us have to agree that full chrome wheels look the worst, at least on dubs. But to each his own.
