I recently put on a plastic emblem covering that blacks out the chrome on my gti. It looks amazing, however now the car states that the front assist sensor is blocked. Anyone know a fix for this? I am unsure of exactly where the mk8s radar is.

Under the VW Logo! That is why unless it's film 99% of the time it will throw on the light and be "Unavailable"

Sort of correct. The GTI has sensors on the windshield, that is for the rain sensing wipers, lane assist, and if I remember correctly the Auto High Beams, the Front VW Logo houses the stuff for ACC and the Front Crash Stuff.

Yeah...mine will do that when wet snow sticks to it.... thus that shows me it does not take much to interfere with that system.

I got black cover (not overlay) and don't have ACC issues.
