I took the blower out yesterday to see what might be making noise and all seems well. It sounds like something is getting stuck in the fan. It starts out quietly but if I rev the engine while driving it sounds awful. I thought it miight be some of the insulation from inside the ductwork because every once in a while a piece comes flying at me. Any ideas what might be causing this. The heat and ac work fine. Thanks in advance. Its time to take the baby out and stretch her legs a little.

Sounds like the oh so common bearings in the motor.

I took the fan out and it ran quietly when I hit the switch. Why does the sound change when I accelerate? Thanks for the help.

Most likely cause your getting more voltage and more air is being forced through the heater box.
