im gonna be picking up a rabbit gti with a 84-86 bmw 318 e30 dash in it.does anyone else have this done or know anything about it?pics please.

a frieng of mine had a rabbit with a e30 bmw dash looked really nice but had some wiring problems. don't know how hard but I have been told all you need are some custom brackets to hold it in, and alot of time with wiring. have fun

One very nicely built car! I loved the video's, and the dyno sheet. How many pounds of boost were you running for those figures?

sweet!!which lower shifter console did you use?do you know if the bmw one will fit?also the plastic piece under the steering column,is it from the bmw?

I noticed that he is selling the Syncro stuff on the for sale board, does anyone know if he is parting the car out for something else, going rear wheel drive, what's up?

how well does this dash fit, are there any problems closing the door?
I love the look, and I think I'll get a rabbit project car for over the winter, this is just what it needs.

Digging up an old thread again - anybody have any more info on this swap? I have access to a few dashes in some junk yards, but not sure how hard/easy they are to remove (no power tools out there) or if I should even bother with the BMW gauge cluster, etc.
