Damn good thing he doesn't work for GM

The man've said it, it's a TT rip-off!

You say that as if he's been there long enough to revamp ALL of GM's retarded line-up. Give the man time, he's certainly proven himself to be quite a car guy.

Silly_me-
Great quote-How true is that?
Man it will be interesting to see if he follows through with his convictions.
With all due respect, I would have to say that Chrysler still has a lot of room for improvement.

nobody from GM should be allowed to critique other car companies's vehciles. with the exception of the new BMWs that are coming out.

Considering that Lutz just got there, and really hasn't had a hand in anything GM has made up to this point, AND he soundly critisizes many GM cars, I'd say he should indeed be allowed.

I think being critical of Lutz should come at least 2 years down the road when he's been @ GM long enough to correct the damage done by the 'bean-counting' mentality of previous leaders.

Re: Bob Lutz critiques the Passat and 350 (WolfGTI)

The rest of the TT quote:
"It is a bit Audi TT-esque," Lutz said. "But very interesting. It has interesting surfaces. It certainly doesn't look like anything else on the road."
So, like I've said many times, the final conclusion is that this car definitely isn't a TT rip off. In fact it looks *way* better than a TT.

Why else does every GM design studio have a Passat and A6 on hand?

Well, we all know Lutz doesn't know anything about auto designs

Actaully, the article clearly states he feels the Z "... certainly doesn't look like anything else on the road," and only a bit TT-esque. COnsidering how many people see other cars in everything, that's not saying he feels it's a copy.

Yeah, I changed my original post. People on here don't know how to quote in context. Seems he rather liked the 350Z, as any true car guy should.

d'oh! i forgot that he just got there. whereas some people have a case of itchy trigger finger, i have a case to overly wanting to critizice GM.

but still, i'd like to see what he thinks of chris bangle's work.
