Hey guys,
I sold my corrado 2 weeks ago and am now getting a 84 rabbit cabby as my new daily driver.
It is black on black on black. I will probably be picking it up tomorrow and was curious how much body kits & dual rounds are and where I can get them.. I live near RPI & Denon & PG performance. Could you guys show me some cool kits.
Thanks
Ryan

clipper kit http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif I think most others look pretty ugly on cabby's although there are some tasteful ones out there. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

i will second the notion on the clipper kit...there are also some old bbs and zender kits that don't look too bad...but neither are as nice as the clipper kit...i'm biased though

here is my car with the clipper kit....

this is my buddy jim's cabby....it's got the euro bumpers and BBS kit on it....

Which kit are you talking bout
Re: Body Kits... & dual Rounds need info & I wanna see em (Corradoholic)

For the same price as most clipper kits, you could get a custom widebody kit from my friend's shop. He sells them for ~$2000 canadian for the entire kit (to get U.S. $, just roughly divide that number by two.)
They're made of impact foam & hand-laid fiberglass, very high quality. You paint and install it. Fits all cabbies & rabbits.

(edit) the kit doesn't include the front splitter, but I think it includes the wheel spacers.

Damn, that wide body kit is UNREAL!
If i had 2K laying around I might consider it...
How much would it cost to get shipped to BC Canada.
How much for just the sides?
Thanks
Ryan

I don't know how much shipping would be. I'll check around.
Meanwhile, here's a pic of the same car in the shop being reworked. It's got a turbocharged & intercooled VR6 for those of you "all show and no go" critics.

man, that kit is really "over the top". i am normally all for subtle small changes, and kits like that usually make me laugh... but that looks illmatic.
really good looking!
i'm imagining it with some 5-series BBS splitties in 17", powered by a heavily-worked 1.8T. yummy. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: Body Kits... & dual Rounds need info & I wanna see em (datenstrom)

No, that blue painted thing is the rear diffuser that fits under the bumper. All the aerodynamics are fully adjustable.
There's no wing on this car.
The OTHER blue thing is the intercooler.

Just checked with the guy. It's $1800 canadian for the front bumper, rear bumper, flares, doors & skirts.

Re: Body Kits... & dual Rounds need info & I wanna see em (Corradoholic)

two questions: 1) how heavy are the clipper kits for the bunnies? i here they are somewhat heavy. i look the look better than the euro bumpers but am not willing to add lbs to my bunny. its a lean mean asphault eating machine! 2) i love the color of that wide body cabby. you wouldn't happen to know the color/color code? thanks!
take care,
nashty
Re: Body Kits... & dual Rounds need info & I wanna see em (hare up your arse)

clipper kits alone aren't that heavy..its the bumper rebar that is heavy....i would say that in total with rebars...100lbs?
widebodys...should be left for porsches and old m3's.....that is not my cup of tea...cool windsheild wipers though.....
