my friend just picked up his Civic SI after getting some minor fender damage fixed (some lady changed lanes into him) and he had turned off the sub output on his head unit so his sub wouldnt be used. anyway, he got it back and the levels were all changed on his HU, the amps gain was turned WAY up, the sub was moved, there was a parking stub on his dash from somewhere he never went, AND he had a 1/4 tank of gas when he dropped it off and now its on E. YIKES!~

I had dropped off my SiR at the stealership for some service. I was out at lunch with my wife's DX hatchback, and was sitting at a light when I noticed a Flamenco Black Pearl SiR like my own next to me. I was looking it up and down, admiring it, when the guy thought I wanted to race. He started revving it like mad, so the lgiht turns green, I gave it my all in the DX, but the SiR tromped on me - that is when I saw the plate and realized it was my f-ing car!!!! Some POS mechanic was out "testing" it. I immediately drove to the dealership and told them what I saw - it hadn't been his first time, apparently, and they canned him later that day. Man, I was sooooo furious at seeing my car being driven like that by someone other than me!!!!

One of the stupid monkeys at the local Audi dealer took a brand new not yet broken in RS4 for a joyride, drove past a police car at 120 mph at the highway, and when he came back to the dealer, the RS4 owner stood there waiting for his car... At this time the car was dirty (winter) and steaming hot.

I ALWAYS assure some dummy is going to F with my car. My last car had a nice 600 Watt system I installed myself. I also installed a hidden power relay and lock under the dash. It used one of the round keys. I could disable all power to the HU the amps and EQ simlutaneously.
That sucks man.

I can't prove it, but either my TDI was idled or extended time or driven. I don't think my mileage was off, but my engine was >40F and the snow was uneven on my hood when I picked my golf up after getting my door handle repainted (got egged, caught the bastids). They did a great job but next time I'm taking down my mileage!! I know the owner so I'm giving them the benifit of the doubt that my car was stored in the garage while the door handle was removed / painted / installed and that's why my engine was warm enough not to need the glow plugs, as for the diesel I could be wrong b/c with 500mi fillup intervals I sometimes forget that I need gas

Yup. Les Schwab tires (popular around here) out on HWY 212 decided to take the Cabby for a spin while I was gone. The idle screw vibrates out when you take the car to redline about 10 times consecutlively. I got in the car and when it died immediately, I knew what had happened. I was so furious someone would disrespect my car like that. A 13 year old 95hp VW chick mobile, at that!

They dont have to drive your car to screw with it. I had some new tires installed at the local Discount Tire when I lived in Utah, and waited for it, so I know it never left the lot. I was watching from the waiting room and watched everything they did. When I got back in my car and tured the stereo on it was on a completely different station, all the levels were changed and the presets were changed. These guys must have been listening to my stereo while putting tires on my car (it was summer so the windows were down in it the whole time.) They must have changed it when they were driving into the garage or when I looked away for a second. I thought that was pretty screwed up, but at least they never drove it.
