As promised a few of you guys when I first arranged the first CF hood GB....
I told you I'd post pics immediately after I got the hood. Well here it is folks...
My car is the Silver one & Ture7's is the green one...
Fit was slightly imperfect at first, but we fixed that. And after some slight moddifications with a Dremel, we were able to incorporate the OEM heated washer nozzles.... just like OEM!
Quality of the hoods were very good. None of the rough edges that seem to be a chronic problem with other CF hoods for other cars. Even the "slopes" were smooth. The hood was treated with clearcoat & all the edges were clean, smooth & strong.

If anyone is interested in a GB for these, let me know. These hoods are of the highest quality. NO ROUGH edges like found on many other hoods. Incorporing the stock washer nozzles is easy as well.
No end to the GB yet.
THESE ARE NOT FIBER IMAGE HOODS! These hoods are among the first hoods produced by C-wings (a la importfan). They will be producing Golf & Jetta, BMW, and Audi hoods soon. Since this is their foray into Euros, they are making sure that these hoods even exceed the quality of their Japanese-spec hoods.

Do you know the new/old hood weights?
Is there anything wrong with the Fiber Images hoods I should know about?

We weighed the old hood & it was about 41lbs. This CF hood is just about half that at 21lbs.
I'll post more pics up later.
I dont know enough about the Fiber Images hood to comment, however, these hoods (unlike most other CF hoods I've seen) do not have the rough edges. These are smooth as butter.
