Boost Gauge lines?

What has been the easiest path to run your boost gauge lines? I am about to get the 42 set up and I am trying to determine the easiest way to route them. If you have pics please post them....that would be a great help. Also, for the oil temp...will that sensor screw in or will I have to drill?

Re: Boost Gauge lines? (gotpsi)

just route it through the little gromet behind the engine infront of the driver, then up by the stering column

my gauge is electrical so i had to run my electrical wires through that point, however the plug was too big so i had to CAREFULLY drill the hole a bit bigger, no problems http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

"42 setup" ?
I've got an A4, so my underhood configuration is somewhat different. I ran the pressure line through a grommet in the divider which seperates the engine from the battery/ecu bay. The boost gauge MAP sensor is mounted on the ECU box, using one of the ECO cover screws. From there I run the MAP wiring into the ECU box via one of the grommets on the wiring harness, and from the ECU box into the cabin.

Thats where I ran mine, poped open the ECU box in the engine bay, then routed the hose "towards the light"

The 42 setup

We offer complete gauge packages, check them out here
The best place to run tubing is through the grommet above the throttle. Us 2.0 drivers have a throttle cable there, so we run our stuff through the firewall with the main harness. Just pop through. You can also follow the hood release cable, but if you don't re-fasten the grommet water will come in! Ask me about that one...
