No, not necessarily. As long as it reads -22 In Hg at idle and you don't hear any leaks under boost, you should be ok.

Re: boost guage not showing "0" when rev in neutral...HELP! (Adam20v)

here's the thing- when i rev past 4.5k, it hits zero, and if i rev to 5k, it shows 2 psi. of boost. it's ust when i blip the throttle, it will not reach zero. other than that, the car runs great. i spike 19-20 psi and hold 16. my mods are UP chip, hyperboost dv, and intake....

-22 in neutral at idle when warmed up. And my gauge goes right to 0 when I do a slight rev. And if I rev it high, I get to 2psi or so. So I say it's perfectly normal
And no I don't have a leak.

I'm wondering if altitude has anything to do with it? Since I'm in the mile high city, would the vacumm show less?
I'm really curious if I have a leak anywhere.
