first off i have an AWW 01 1.8t gti. CAI and boost gauge are the only mods. when i get on the gas pretty hard and shift to the next gear, my gauge will hold at 0 for like 3-5 sec then all of a sudden it will start to make boost. im thinking DV or N75 bad. but under normal driving it drives fine. please someone help me. it drives me crazy

Have a VAG-COM?
You can data-log the actual vs. requested boost with it by monitoring Group 115.
There you can determine if it's a gauge or ECU problem.

no i dont have a vag-com. and when it happens i can feel when the boost kicks in. it only does it under hard acceleration when shifting gears.

What RPM's does the gauge stay at 0psi?
What have you done to remedy the issue?
* Check DV?
* Check N75 connections?
A VAG-COM will really help you out in this situtation since you're really just shooting from the hip.
Throw a local request in your regional forum to get some assistance.
