Bosch HID ballasts
Anyone know where I can buy a set of Bosch HID ballasts and wiring? Or anyone with any knowledge of how the ignitor coil works? Thanks in advance

I have the Bosch OEM HID lamps, but the German seller did not ship the ballasts and wiring with it, so I'm SOL. The part number on the back of the left one is 1J1 941 015 L. I could use Philips ballasts and chuck the ignitor and stuff, but then it's kinda.. crappy, non OEM. I want to see if it's possible to get some Bosch ballasts for a decent price, if not I might do the Philips thing.

He was selling them complete on eBay. It was the Enrique guy. I guess he is being prosecuted by the German government right now, as he also jipped a German guy. I just wanna get some working lights. Hey Polezero, what do the ballast for this setup look like? I have a pair of Bosch ballast from a 2000 Mercedes S-class. The housings are 4" X 3.5" X 1.5 deep. They have a 6 pin horzontal female connector approx. 1.5' wide. I don't know if these are the same, but could be. I also have a set of Honda S2000 Xenon ballast w/ignitors & a set of seperate ballast/ignitors from a 2000 Acura TL if interested. These are pretty nice since the lead off the ballast is about a foot long, & the lead from the ignitor is about 8 inches....good for tight mounting locations.

I don't know how big the Bosch ones are that go with my lights, but the connector is a 4 pin off of the headlight assembly. Two wires go to 12V(low beam) and ground, and two wires go to the ignitor. I'd be interested in buying any of those, preferably without the ignitors because I already have them. Do the Bosch ones have ignitors with them?
