There is a few things I need to fix up on it and I'm wondering where in Portland, OR do you guys find your new/used parts?
Taylor? Isaac? Looks like I'm going to be competing with you guys at the local yards.
*edit* why the hell won't this link work?

I'm not really a junkyard surfer but I usually ended up going to Pacific West imports on Foster Rd. I have heard some bad stuff about them but I have only been there like 5 times.
What are you looking for in particular. You will probably find it from one of the pnw dubbers in here for cheap.

Neither am I Ryan but I'm wondering if there are a few things that I could get that don't necessarily have to be new. There's little things here and there but the majority of them are going to have to be new.

For new parts there is discount import parts, one in Beaverton and one in milwaukie, there is also Halsey Automotive on 77th and NE Halsey. I am rebuilding an '83 gti from my wrecked '84 so I have two of just about everything. If you need something maybe i have it.

this one?

uh that was a lot of work to find...
Looks like we gotta get ourselves a PDX Pick-n-Pull GTG!!
I love wrecking yards like my g/f loves the mall. What are you looking for exactly? No, i won't tell you were those Recaros are, but i know where you can find a rear disk setup for 75 pulled, A2 and Audi TBs, and many deceased GTis...
anything you're looking for in specific or just my favorite yards?

Sorry to hear that man, what happened?
I'm going to need a drivers seat. This one is falling apart. Also going to need miscellaneous little interior pieces.
I've seen that place on 99, are they open on Sundays?

How did you get that pic to work Isaac?
I couldn't figure it out no matter how I did it. I've got this iMac at home and I'm not used to it since I do most of my work on a PC.
Anyways, yes, I need some misc. interior parts in that dark red color. My drivers seat looks like a$$ and there are little things here and there that I want to replace without spending a small forture as now I've got TWO cars to mod.
Re: Bought a "new" car & I have a few questions... (4Rings)

well... i tried to use the url that was listed above with the pic, but that did me no good. So i had to take your email address from your profile and look you up on clubphoto.com open the pic up from the thumbnail and then took the photo properties from the page and took that url and used it for the imgage tag. wouldn't know how to do all that on a mac as fast as a pc, but could get it in about 5 minutes...
the wrecking yard with the most GTi stuff is Portland Auto Wrecking. It is on Columbia Blvd., 5miles west from I-5... think i've even seen one with a red interior.....
btw: nice pics!

Hey Geoff,
Isaac turned me onto a place off of Columbia, I'm looking for either a complete 2 door interior in black, a GTI drivers seat and carpet in Red, and a rear parcel tray in red. Also, just miscellaneous parts here and there. Maybe we should bet together some day and wander around out there.
