Is it ABSOLUTELY necessary to flush the brake fluid every two years? I asked my dad how much it was to get it done and he said he's never flushed the fluid on any car he's ever had and never had any problems. I'm just curious if its really that important. And please don't flame me and tell me I'm stupid, because I'm not.

Re: Brake flush (01 Wolfsburg)

its not absolutely necessary, but i wouldnt wait past 3 years. over time moisture can get into the brake lines and cause corrosion. at that time you should be needing to change your rotors/pads anyway, so you can just have everything done in one shot. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
edit: i forgot to say, that corrosion can lead to other problems. its a lot easier to replace your fluid than it is to replace a whole entire line from the MC.
