Hello, I am having a brake issue. I am not sure if it is a "Passat Thing" I currently own a 2017 Passat SE purchased it brand new. AT 5,500 miles the wheel started to shimmy upon braking especially at higher speeds. I was able to go to VW for them to duplicate it and the rotors were replaced. Shimmy went away. Now I currently have 19,500 on the car and it is back again. The shimmy is not as noticeable as it was when the car had 5,500 but it is definatly there. I also used to own a 2014 SE and had the same issue at around 20,000 miles the same thing happened. I don't know if this is a Passat issue? If the rotors/pads they use are no good? My wife owned a 2013 Jetta SE for 6 years and had over 60k with original brakes/rotors with no issues whatsoever. She also has a heavy foot and does alot more driving than I do. If someone can please help me on this issue. Thanks so much! :D
