I saw my pads are getting pretty thin, so I'll probably need to replace them in about 10k more miles. A couple of questions:
1) Are there any oversized brake rotors that utilize the stock caliper?
2) What is the best rear drum to rotor conversion?
3) Where can I get some foliatec caliper paint?
Also, where's the best (read: cheapest) place to get the brake stuff. Oh, I'll probably get braided brake lines too

1) don't know on the brake upgrade, i'd suggest ATE powerslots and mintex redbox pads. If you want to do performance, do an 11.0" G60 or 11.3" RPI brake upgrade.
2) http://www.ecstuning.com or http://www.parts4vws.com . You could put it together from a junk yard, you'd need the hub, caliper, carriers, rotors, and i think thats it... but the ECS tuning kit has all brand new parts.

good place to get brake parts - http://www.germanautoparts.com or http://www.parts4vws.com . The service of the potters makes up for the slight price difference.
