I would take it only after it was rebuilt by BBM or Gruven!

I don't see anything about a warrenty. Like HSM would even honor a warrenty. please search the history about HSM on the vortex before buying.

So are you guys saying stay away from this charger???? I would like to buy a new one and this price seems dirt cheap! 500 u.s

Run away from this one. Do a search on "HSM" if you need more info as to why.

Dude, it's $500 because it's an HSM charger. It will last 100 miles, TOPS. It's a temporary charger, if you will.
Imagine a G-Lader made out of paper mache, and that's a good estimate as to this charger's reliability and lifespan.

If it sounds too good to be true...it probably is.

Re: brand new charger gt on ebay - the dude miss-spelled volkswagOn (URIN 2ND)

the dude blew it by not sanding the HSM stickers off. oh well some sucker will be crying here after buying it and having it grenade shortly afterwads. theres a suckah born every minute.
Re: brand new charger gt on ebay - the dude miss-spelled volkswagOn (URIN 2ND)

I should have gotten a pic of 90 GT-G60's HSM charger that I disassembled at H2O 4 back in september. Eric got the disassbly on video. it was taken off the car 1yr prior because it was makeing a bad sound. I opened it up and found a snapring missing. It didn't break and get eaten because it would have left some sort of wear marks either on the bearing it held or on the displacer. instead the marks on the displacer were from the bearing's rollers that found their way out of the bearing and then were swallowed by the displacer which is soft metal. I do have pics of the inside of a G60 in my photo album. click on my sig and then go to the G60 corrado technical photo album.
its a paper wieght now but after it leaks its oil I wouldn't put it on anything but the reciept for a new Lysolm or turbo as crez did.

I guess I should feel lucky that Howard at HSM just outright stole both my $1600 and my pristine 78K mile charger core instead of receiving a grenade like some other guys?

FH!

OK, so I had to go see the auction info and laugh.
First of all what charger whould be brand new and then modified to a GT that only retails for $1800. It was obviously not brand new.
Second, who would be foolish enough to buy this thing from a seller located in Ontario Canada itself. Too possible it is Howard posing as the seller. Probably just anohter way for him to collect money for goods and never send them out.

Howard's been on there a lot lately selling his stock (and your chargers). PoweredbyG60 bought some springs from him in October and still doesn't have them. He checked out the seller's ID and guess what previous name was ***@hsmmotorsports.com
I would definitely think twice about buying anything from Ontario right now. Sorry everybody else who lives there.
On another note though, I have an HSM rebuilt charger. Gimme a break I didn't know any better. It was rebuilt in 1999 and still running strong. AM I just lucky?
Re: brand new charger gt on ebay - the dude miss-spelled volkswagOn (mpaster)

Yeah, dsscdn is him, or someone who works for him, as well.

Tre,
I too have a HS GT1 charger rebuilt in 99. I consider myself lucky - I had to wait 5 months, but at least I got something back from that joker. Mine is also still going strong (approx 8k miles), and still putting out close to 20lbs. I have also been wondering if I am the lucky one!!

Re: brand new charger gt on ebay - the dude miss-spelled volkswagOn (mpaster)

i have seen HSM's chargers he used plastic retainers in his bearings your lucky its still running me i'd change the bearings or do a rebuild to be on the safe side
but thats just me. then you'd be sure it will be good for a long time.
