I'm having some trouble with my car these day. Performance wise it is working fine, but there seems to be a loud rattle coming from my front wheels when i go over a bumb. I've just had new suspension installed and i've noticed not change in the handling characteristics. Alos, i found that if a small amount of breaking force is applied, while going over bumbs, the rattle is gone. So i believe it ti be a problem with my front breaks, but i can't seem to find out what it is. Could it be something hitting my new mags? or what?

As much as I hate ttt-type replies...
I'm having a very similar problem. I replaced my stock front pads on my GTi and the left wheel rattles a little bit going over very small bumps at low speed. If I hit the bump while breaking, there is no rattle. There is also no rattle at higher speeds (40+ MPH)?
I think maybe I didnt fasten the locking bolts enough, but I am having a very hard time taking the tire out.. I will have to way until my next tire rotation (1000 miles)
Any ideas?
