Breaking the brakes in

What's the best way to break a new set of breaks in on my car? I just installed some ATE powerslot rotos, and some mintex pads (thanks Potterman's!!). But the only breakin advice I got was dont do any heavy breaking for 200 miles.
I have heard of doing like a dozen 60 to 40 runs, but I dont know.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Bedding it brakes should be done as recommended by the manufacturer of the pads (they nearly all state avoid breaking hard), the forced bedding procedure is not usually recommended due to the fact that the brakes can be ruined by doing it wrong.
