just wanted to find out how many people have had to change their old plastic impeller water pumps and about how many miles. also if any of you had to change you water pump, when you took it out, was it plastic or metal, and what engine code do you have. thanks

changed at 35000 miles
AWP engine
plastic impeller
cracked in half

I got 80K on mine, still in AWD, definitly plastic..no overheating even in the recent heat/traffic/AC on but I'm gonna pull it soon anway, sure it willbe missing at least a little chunk

just did mine at ~70K timing belt and all....had to fish out a few pieces about 1/4 of the pump was missing, retrieved all but one 1" chunk i guess

i had 67k on my APH.. then one day in traffic the plastic impeller came lose from the shaft.. we found that it cracked in 3 places..

Yeah, in the bently manual.

There aew WAY to many steps to try to write it out. that is why i paid someone to do it. i dont have enough time or tools to do it myself.
