I'd like to know about the performance characteristics. Sound, power increase, ect... How much did you pay for it and how hard was it to install?
Thanks for speaking up, I thought we'd have to bump this thing forever.

To vw_golf and BMGBeetle, hope I answer all your inquiries:
Brullen is actually carving quite a reputation for itself here in Canada. You don't often hear about them very much in the states, so I can see why you had issues finding info on them
I bought my turbo back direct from the Brullen factory for a special group-buy price of $900cdn installed...this is about $570us installed
.
BUT, don't let the price fool ya...it is a completely welded 2.5" system made from T-304 stainless steel and painted black with some heat resistant paint. This is a very high-quality exhaust and comes with a life-time warranty.
Sound: In normal cruising, it isn't loud at all...there's just enough of a low deep tone to know that there's something ready to erupt back there. At WOT, the exhaust notes turn to a low gerthy roar. Music to my ears! I've heard many different exhausts and the Brullen sound is unique to itself. It's totally unmistakably Brullen.
Performance: My bro's friend dynoed his golf...baseline with chip was 180whp 210ft/pounds...with the addition of K&N drop in and Brullen turbo back, he dynoed at 195whp 228ft/pounds...I assume that the higher your boost, the more you will work the exhaust, and the more that the exhaust will gain for you. Personally, I'm totally content with the performance of the Brullen...I could give you more examples of gains but that would take too long.
Installation: Just as easy to install as any other exhaust out there...bolt it on and off you go
Sorry for the long post, but I hope that this answers some of your questions...Brullen also makes a 3" system if you want further gains in hp and torque, but seeing how you just came from a 3" system, I'm assuming that you want to go with the 2.5" system.

The site hasn't been updated in quite some time...but I assure you that they do make a good turbo-back exhaust. I don't know of a distributor in the US, however, it would be in your best interest to contact them direct and save the extra cost that a distributor would charge.
