Bumper Problem Upped a Step

I posted last week on having an encounter with a snowbank that was particularly hard and icy, and how it cracked my front bumper and broke the clip holding the right side up. It was okay, though, as it wasn't "dangling". Today, however, pulling u-turn in a parking lot, i clipped a snowbank, and managed to MAKE it dangle. by the time i got home, the right blinker had fallen out and broken, though the socket's still good. however, the bumper, is not. we're talking the lowest part of the bumper, however, if i were to take it off, i'm sure it wouldn't look to good to the police (i'm not sure if i could get pulled OVER for something like that). basically, i'm going to need a new bumper. my question is, what can be done? i could buy one of those bumpers at rapid-parts, but those are all black .. i'm looking for something that's exactly like the red big bumper i have right now. places/costs?

If I were you, I'd wait until after winter to replace your bumper parts.. seems like you don't get along with snowbanks too well.

Goodness no, that would be unforgivable.

Watch the classifieds...I'd have a used front for ya, but that's where my parts car got nailed

how does something of this size get shipped anyway? obviously ups can't handle it .. that's my primary concern. i have the money, but i'm not sure if shipping a bumper is going to cost ten dollars or a hundred. i can make a quick fix, but it won't hold for long.
also- as i said, the side blinker bulb got busted. go figure, it was bouncing along on the pavement. i'm assuming something like an autozone caries the bulb, and i'm almost certain the socket is fine .. how much will this cost/what model or brand or whatnot should i buy?

this explains why it's not as easy a quick fix as most seem to think it is:

ACK~!
Your best bet is finding one close to you, but UPS will ship them.
Re: Bumper Problem Upped a Step (Tornado Wolfie)

i'm not sure ups will .. rapidparts has a disclaimer for their aftermarket bumpers that says that UPS won't ship them, they need to be shipped by truck (unless they're talking about air shipping .. i don't know?)

also . .can anyone think of a way to rig that up so that it's at least road-worthy for a couple days? a friend of mine has an "in" with the junkyards around here because he tends to do a lot of work on his own, and he gets really good deals. if i wait until monday or tuesday, i could save myself money. i drove it home (twenty-five miles) today, and it didn't hit the ground THAT much. maybe a coathanger somehow?

Take it off and glue the back. You can buy special stuff for bumpers.
Re: Bumper Problem Upped a Step (Vdubs)

ship it through regular mail, thats how i got mine,

it seems like i've patched it up pretty good to last me until spring. the turn signal bulb is fixed, and the bumper was remedied with some duct tape. laugh now, but it was better then driving around with a dangling bumper. if you look at the picture, you could rap it around the bottom of it on the left side, so that it held together. it'll last me couple weeks.
so now that i've got plenty of time to gather some money to buy a bumper, i was just curious as to whether anyone had any recommendations for another bumper, perhaps an aftermarket one? is the big bumpers really the best thing to get, or should i spring for one of those fancy ones with fog light cutouts?
