I searched the intetnet for at least 3 minutes last week, there was one actual vintage Car & Driver Dan Gurney sticker on eBay for silly money, but it belongs in a museum. Luckily, I found this reprint on Red Bubble, and since tomorrow is supposed to be warm I'm thinking it's the last time I could put it on before winter. It's going on the flat part of the Badlands' rear bumper, and will be more or less centered under the tailgate hinges. To clarify, I would have JUST THIS ONE, not a mobile library.

Assuming I clean the area properly first, should I do it tomorrow? What if there is a chance for rain a few days later? Should I just save it for spring?

For a Bronco, pick a snooty or offbeat or whatever
outdoorsy vacation place you go to and put that sticker on there.

My Jeep has a sticker from the national forest we hunt in on the rear window. Only other one is a 4Ocean sticker (environmental clean up charity my daughter is big into) on the rear side window.

Um, no. Stickers are as much for others as they are for you. They are an expression of yourself to show people what you're into. Few people will even know or care who Dan Gurney is and, sadly, in this divisive time, most will assume it's another political sticker.

The most likely response to it will be "who is that sumbeeyotch, what side of the aisle is he on and I already hate him" :ROFLMAO:

I'm more of a fan of putting stickers on windows than on bumpers/body panels.

Ironically, I've got this Jem on the Camry and F150, but not the GTI (no stickers on it, yet) - kiddo's going on 3.5 now, so I'm wondering when is the appropriate time to take it off.

As far as targeting your car for a political sticker, there's nothing divisive about the sticker itself (it's not MAGA themed or anything) so most people probably won't care or worse, will probably want to start talking politics or the state of the country/economy (ugh...)

I'm not a fan of putting bumper stickers on the paint. The rear glass would be better.

That being said, I don't have any bumper stickers on my cars because they:

a) Make my car more identifiable
2) Spoil the looks of the car
iii) I don't believe in anything strongly enough to go as far as putting a sticker on my vehicles for.

Although I did put some stickers on my Ridgeline:

I always thought it would be funny to put a political bumpersticker on a car, where the bumpersticker candidate was way older than the car. Like a Dan Quayle sticker or "Rock Us Dukakis" sticker on a modern (2015+) car.

Yep, this.

I won't put stickers on the paint, just a few on the window, but nothing overtly attention grabbing. Just a small B-Side Label Japan sticker on the WRX and a VW Dharma logo on the TDI. Wife has a hiking sticker on the trucklet.
The Thule, OTOH... that's the canvas for Kitsch.

I saw a guy on the beltway in an Infinity G-something with a bumper sticker that said, "Don't follow me, I do stupid isht", and boy did he ever.... That seems risky, but people like that never seem to crash. I don't know why. If I put that on my car, I'd be in a ditch tomorrow morning with people pointing and laughing.

^ nice

I did think about putting the smaller one on the glass, but didn't think about it being seen as an actual political sticker, I'm not interested in any of that.

I'm normally anti-sticker on my cars, but I made an exception for my Bronco. Simple vintage US flag
This gives me more MAGA vibes than the Gurney bumper sticker.

I wouldn’t put a bumper sticker on my car. I have no stickers on our daily, I have no desire for it to be more memorable or divisive in any way. Americans are a crazy, violent people.

(The Parnelli Jones sticker idea is cooler anyway)
