I have to tell you guys this story. I'm a fairly mature and responsible guy. But the responsibility and the maturity both take a break when it comes to a two lane straight rural stretch and an Acura RSX-S revving up front of me. There is never no one on that road and no cops, straight, one mile and a half, large enough for a plane to land.
He peels out at the light and I have to tell you, no one peels out in my hood. Especially if it's not a veedub so he had to learn his lesson. Ladies and gentlemen, my 1.8T is STOCK with the only perf mod being a bailey DV and believe me, that does nothing but a nice sound for the time being. Caught him by 2nd gear, passed him at 3rd with a big smile on my face... and pulled on him until I showed him he bought the wrong car. He was accelerating very fast in the beginning but he was in the front so I couldn't tell if he was faster than me. But I can tell you he never managed to pull on me. 3rd and 4th, I pulled on him like 5 cars and he started slowing down towards the end of the stretch. So if you catch one on an EMPTY rural road, please please be safe but never be scared to beat the hell out of them. It's just that Acuras and Hondas get on my nerves, sorry.
Result: Stock 180hp 1.8Ts against stock 200hp RSX-S, no problem, anytime, anywhere. And aren't these cars lighter than our hefty veedubs anyway? Well, I guess it doesn't matter anyway
Be safe on crowded highways and keep racing to the track.
I confess, it was a little irresponsible, and that is why I have my flame suit on while telling you guys this story. But admit it, it's always nice to hear that someone gave a lesson to a Honda.
