BYE BYE RSX-S...

I have to tell you guys this story. I'm a fairly mature and responsible guy. But the responsibility and the maturity both take a break when it comes to a two lane straight rural stretch and an Acura RSX-S revving up front of me. There is never no one on that road and no cops, straight, one mile and a half, large enough for a plane to land.
He peels out at the light and I have to tell you, no one peels out in my hood. Especially if it's not a veedub so he had to learn his lesson. Ladies and gentlemen, my 1.8T is STOCK with the only perf mod being a bailey DV and believe me, that does nothing but a nice sound for the time being. Caught him by 2nd gear, passed him at 3rd with a big smile on my face... and pulled on him until I showed him he bought the wrong car. He was accelerating very fast in the beginning but he was in the front so I couldn't tell if he was faster than me. But I can tell you he never managed to pull on me. 3rd and 4th, I pulled on him like 5 cars and he started slowing down towards the end of the stretch. So if you catch one on an EMPTY rural road, please please be safe but never be scared to beat the hell out of them. It's just that Acuras and Hondas get on my nerves, sorry.
Result: Stock 180hp 1.8Ts against stock 200hp RSX-S, no problem, anytime, anywhere. And aren't these cars lighter than our hefty veedubs anyway? Well, I guess it doesn't matter anyway

Be safe on crowded highways and keep racing to the track.
I confess, it was a little irresponsible, and that is why I have my flame suit on while telling you guys this story. But admit it, it's always nice to hear that someone gave a lesson to a Honda.

Re: BYE BYE RSX-S... (gtiglxvr62000)

The word is getting out, fewer and fewer young men in their Hondas want to race anymore. When I first bought my 20v last year it seemed that all of them wanted a piece of me.

Ah come on brother, this doesn't qualify as street racing. I mean almost not
it was a rural road, and there is only my complex there so almost no one drives by there. Plus I made sure we were the only ones on that road... ooh I am so responsible. Temptation gets irresistible you know.. I think it's the vtec sound that we are pretty much all allergic to.

Teach those dork wannabe's a lesson. IB4TL.
Re: BYE BYE RSX-S... (shourick)

There Automatic RSX-S hits the 1/4 in 0.0. That's because there is No Such thing. All Type S's are 6Spd Man. The non-type S(160hp) can be SS Auto or 5spd.
You should have been able to pull on the RSX-S in the beginning, they have 40 less torque and they don't hit at much in the i-VTEC range.
Anyway, Good kill

Re: BYE BYE RSX-S... (noypitsgolf)

you were driving faster but i don't think he was racing maybe driving fast but not racing, a rsx type s will beat any stock vw. Some vw owners will win due to lack of skills by the other driver but having driven a type s and owning a 2002 gti 1.8t i could also say as someone else did that we can't win that race stock

i dont know why, but around the net.. everyone thinks the type r's run 14.8-14.9's...
there are tons of stock type r's that have pulled 14.4's.
it's a great car.
the rsx-s isnt.

type r > type s
